Records of the First Congregational Church of Macomb Illinois, which was founded in 1858; the church building was dedicated in 1871. The record book, 1857-1877, includes lists of members, dates of deaths and baptisms, minutes of meetings, and a historical sketch of the organization of the church. Three letters, 1940-1948, are also included in the collection. The letters are addressed to and from Louis Gumbart, and they discuss the history of the church, the whereabouts and contents of the record book, and the Gumbart family history.
